My second time out with Ms. Rosca proved much more fruitful; with my higher-megapixel a77—which surprisingly doesn’t support auto ISO in Manual mode—the quality of the photos was much improved, with less grain compared to the maxed-out, auto-ISO shots of last time.

A secondary effect of our collaborating again is that Ms. Rosca introduced me to the Post Building Roof Garden, which offered a fantastic view of London’s skyline. I’ll certainly be visiting again in my spare time! I spied a couple hobbyist planespotters using the vantage for a view of what appeared to be a significant aircraft journey at the time.

Though the nature of the shoot was a relatively perfunctory one, with specific angles of products and clothing items needing to be captured, my favourite photos turned out to be some portraits I got against the cherry blossoms
